On 20th of October, the sec 3 Cadet Leaders (CLs) executed their PYA-VIA project after months of planning and preparations. The objectives were to spread awareness on Scam Alert in Yishun area such as Northpoint shopping centre, Yishun Golden Village, Bus Interchange, Avenue 11 and Yishun St 21.

Yellow Ribbon Project
On the 15th of October, there was a sharing session in YTSS on Yellow Ribbon Project by a Prison Officer, Mr Taufiq.
The talk focussed on being compassionate, understanding and giving ex-convict a 2nd chance, and also the importance of supporting the Yellow Ribbon Project.
After the talk, the sec 1 and 2 squads took time to plan and setup a booth to promote awareness for the Yellow Ribbon via a mini exhibition in school. It was definitely a very enjoyable and fruitful activity for the cadets!

CSSP by the sec 2 squad
On the 1st of September, sec 2 squad held a lesson for the sec 1 squad on the topics of Vandalism, Bullying, Smoking, Theft etc. This was part of the CSSP gallery walk organised by the sec 2 squad in term 3.
It has took the sec 2 squad many weeks to research, prepare and setup the booth for exhibition. The sec 2 cadets also value this as a golden opportunity to experience delivering a lesson and to hon their soft skills.
The sec 1 squad was also very focussed and gained valuable knowledge from the sec 2 squad's sharing. This could be observed from their active participation in discussion throughout the session.

Sec 1 Macritchie Reservoir Park Hike
It was a beautiful Saturday morning on the 29th of August when the sec 1 squad took a morning hike to Macritchie Reservoir Park.
It was not an easy feat for the sec 1 cadets as they embarked on a 13 km hike planned by the sec 3 Cadet Leaders (CLs). It has took the sec 3 CLs months to plan for the hike and to get sec 1 squad TO, Mr Ling to approve their proposal. Even though it was physically exhausting, everyone was in high spirit throughout the hike.
It was also the inaugural hike for sec 1 squad in the history of Yishun Town Secondary School Unit. The sec 1 squad had an unforgettable experience and learned the important value of "Resilience", forged many friendships and was exposed to the wildlife of fauna & flora through this meaningful activity.

Nee Soon East National Day Observance Ceremony
On the 9th of August 2015, Nee Soon East held the National Day Observance Ceremony at the Nee Soon East courtyard. YTNP Secondary 2 and 3 cadets took part in the ceremony as the Guard of Honor.
The Parade Commander was Cadet Inspector Lim Yap Kai.
The National Flag escorts consisted of Sergeant Subhashree, Sergeant Tee Feng Ming, Lance corporal Shape and Lance Corporal Fikri.
The National Flag Commander was Sergeant Sahej Mehandru.

SG50 School NDP Celebration at Bishan Stadium
On the 6th of August 2015, Yishun Town Secondary School, Xinmin Secondary School and Nan Chiau High School took part in the annual NDP celebration cum Combined Sports Meet.
Yishun Town National Police Cadet Corps formed the Guard of Honor contingent for the parade.
The Guard of Honor Contingent Commander was Sergeant Poh Jie Min.
The Colours Party Contingent Commander was Sergeant Neo Yao Wen Edwin.
The State Flag Commander was Sergeant Saran Raj s/o Mohan.
The Parade Second IC was Sergeant Md Luqmanul Hakim, who is also the Student OC of the unit.

10th of July Muster Parade
It was a good start to semester 2 as a Muster Parade was held to award the cadets from sec 1 to sec 3 squads with their hard earned proficiency badges on the 2nd Unit training.

The sec 1 cadets also don on their uniform proudly and smartly after their lesson on 3rd July for this joyous occasion.

Secondary 1 Cadets' First Uniformed Training/First Training Taken by New Cadet Leaders
Today on 3rd of July 2015, the Secondary 1 Cadets wore their NPCC uniform for the very first time. The Cadet Leaders taught them about the uniform etiquette and how to wear the uniform properly and smartly.
After the Secondary 1s had changed into their full NPCC uniform, the Cadet Leaders conducted a drills session in order to teach them new drills and make sure that the they were doing them properly.

Lastly, before ending the training, the Cadets played captain's ball, in order to end the training on a good note. The cadets had a lot of fun during the games.

Secondary 4 Archery Enrichment Programme
Today, on the 16th of March, 2015, the secondary 4 cadets participated in an archery enrichment course. This course was exciting as it thought us a skill that many of us were interested in. Off the get go, many of us were firing unknowingly, missing our intended targets by a large margin. Some of us did not even manage to hit the board! However, by the end of the session, all of our arrows managed to meet our mark and we ended the day feeling a sense of achievement. We definitely enjoyed the session and we would like to reccomend this session to our juniors.
