CLTC 2017

Our annual Cadet Leaders Training Camp (CLTC) took place from 27/12/17 to 29/12/17 and it was heartwarming to witness our sec 2 transformed from Cadets to Cadets Leaders Trainees (CLTs) in the 3 days 2 nights. The CLTs have successfully graduated from the tough CLTC and will embark on a new journey in 2018 as CLTs!

Let's wish them all the best in 2018 and bring YTSS NPCC to a higher ground!

Nam Hong Welfare Society Appreciation Dinner

On 25/11/17, YTSS NPCC was invited by Nam Hong Welfare Society to grace their appreciation dinner for the 2nd year consecutively. The invitation was due to the fact that our cadets had raised a total of $2114.60 during the Nam Hong Flag Day Challenge and emerged as 6th position amongst the participating schools. In addition, we were also 5th position in terms of the Average Individual Collection amounting to $64/person.

The Award was graced by the Guest-of-Honour Mr K. Shanmugam, Minister of Law and the Minister for Home Affair. Student OC, Nigel Feng and Head of Operations, Lezanne Guo represented YTSS NPCC and had the honour to receive the appreciation award from Mr K. Shanmugam.

YTSS NPCC is looking forward to the Flag Day in 2018!!

YTSS Open Day

YTSS Open Day took place on a beautiful Saturday morning and primary school students together with their parents were invited to experience how it would be like studying in YTSS.  Apart from sharing sessions by Ms Yeo, school principal of YTSS. There were booths setup by all CCAs to entice the primary school students on the dynamic and vibrant programmes.

YTSS NPCC cadet leaders and cadets spent a lot of time planning for the event and was glad that it was well received by the visitors!

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Yishun North NPC police officers for lending their support in the midst of their busy schedule! Look at how awe-inspiring Sgt (NPCC) Lucas, SGT (NPCC) Lezanne and SCI (NPCC) Farah look as they stand beside the police patrol car!

Our PDS also performed wonderfully with their precision drill performance and received a warm round of applause from the crowds.

We owe the success of the events to CIs, cadet Leaders and cadets!!

2 days PDS training boot camp

On 8/11/17 and 9/11/17, the core members of PDS conducted a 2 days training boot camp for cadets who were interested in PDS. As it wasn't a mandatory session, it was quite a surprise for the core members to found out that more than 15 sec 1 / 2 cadets turned up on a voluntarily basis.

Even though it rained on both days, the cadets were not dampened by the weather and demonstrated passion for PDS. We are looking forward to a wonderful 2018 when PDS resume training and help the newer members to be proficient in their skills and abilities!!

First Aid Training on 6/11/17 and 7/11/17

Sec 2 cadets attended a 2 full days First Aid Course conducted by Officers from Saint John Brigade from 6/11/17 to 7/11/17. This was the first time in YTSS NPCC history that a whole squad was able to attend the First Aid Course as opposed to previous years where only 5 - 6 selected cadets could attend. Everyone learned valuable knowledge and enjoyed themselves through the process. It was also heartening to know that everyone passed the assessment and are certified first aider!!

Sec 3 squad CSI Training 2017

On 10/9/17, sec 3 squad attended a fun filling and rich learning at HTA on Crime Scene Investigation (CSI).

Everyone was engaged and enjoyed the training. However, due to wet weather the sec 3 squad was not able to visit the CSI village for an authentic learning. Nevertheless, the FIs were able to come up with an alternative learning mode and the cadets benefited from the session.

YTSS NATIONAL DAY PARADE 2017

On 8th August, YTNP was the Guard of Honour for the National Day Parade in Yishun Town Secondary School. Even though time was tight and there was very limited trainings, the Secondary 2 and Secondary 3 cadets persevered and did their very best all the way. Due to all their hard work YTUG managed to do everyone proud during the parade.

    

The NPCC PDS also performed during the performance segment. Although they were fairly busy with the parade, they were able to show us a great and unforgettable performance. They were quite nervous at first but after getting the hang of it they managed to do their best. 

We would like to thank all the CIs, SCI (NPCC) Farah Koh, CI (NPCC) Azhary, CI (NPCC) Cynthia Lim, CI (NPCC) Shaun Tan, CI (NPCC) Lim Yap Kai and CI (NPCC) Dhanesh , for taking time off from work and/or school to help out with this year's National Day parade.

YTSS PDS @ Old Police Academy

YTSS PDS was invited to perform at Old Police Academy! It was an exhilarating perform led by CI (NPCC) Azhary and the PDS members. The guest of honour was Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister in the Ministry of National Development, Mr Desmond Lee.

ASTC 2017

Yet another fun filling and enjoyable ASTC!! Good job to Sec 2s and 3s for clearing ASTC in high spirits!!
